Direct Intervention Horse Rescue

Rescue and rehabilitation of abused and neglected horses, retraining as needed and rehoming into permanent homes. In 2023, safe cared for 62 horses in total, with 19 new intakes, 2 horses returned to safe, 21 horses adopted, 2 horses transferred to another rescue, and 4 horses humanely euthanized.

Short term assistance for horse owners in need, including hay bank, gelding assistance, vet and farrier vouchers, blanket bank and humane euthansia. In 2023, safe was contacted by 191 people seeking assistance.
