Central Farm

Sor manages 100-ACRES of farmland in se MN, our programming includes land restoration work through conservation easements, supporting a cohort of beginning farmers with land access and infrastructure (E.G: irrigation, livestock fencing, barns, etc.)

Community Connectors

Sor employs 2 PT and 2 FT staff to address community food insecurity. Together they coordinate 6 neighborhood gardens, supporting over 120 families producing vegetables for home consumption. The connectors also work with local partners (E.G. Foodshelves) to do food distributions.

Wildlife Counts

Sor monitors wildlife through a citizen science effort that engages students and volunteers at the central farm. Wildlife habitat is also restored through management of invasives and protected through conservation easements.
