The Block Institute, INC. Is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people, primarily the developmentally disabled and their families. Through our vast experience, the agency provides unique and individualized services. The strong partnership between our staff and the community enables each person to achieve greater independence and integration. We believe in the protection of every persons civil rights, including the right to advocate for oneself and others. The agency is committed to community awareness, sensitivity, and acceptance of individuals with disabilities.

Provided quality residential care in a family-like setting to 224 individuals with developmental disabilities. Through our non-certified community residences via the housing subsidy program, intermediate care facilities (icf), and individual residential alternatives (ira), our consumers received unique and person-centered services, which…

Adult Day Programs

Through its day treatment and day habilitation programs, block institute assisted 197 individuals with developmental disabilities increase their life skills, independence, individuality, productivity, and community inclusion by utilizing a wide array of community resources including volunteering and recreational activities.
