Dr. Ronald L.
Ellis became the fifth president of California Baptist University on November 1, 1994, and is the longest-serving university president in California. Under his leadership, enrollment grew from 808 to nearly 12,000, and the institution added 224 buildings and facilities with more than $630 million in campus investments.
CBU became California Baptist University in 1998 and now offers over 150 majors across 10 colleges and professional schools.
