Essential duties Accounting Operations: Ensures timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting aligned to GAAP and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) Oversees the daily operations of accounting department including management of the month end close Oversees cash management activities, including cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and cash position monitoring Grant & Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with Federal grant requirements, Medicaid and Medicare billing and reconciliation reports and other restricted funds Maintains Financial Compliance Calendar, Files and Records and ensures timely preparation and submission of all Regulatory Reports (UDS, OSHPD, and Cost Reports, ad hoc.) Provides oversight of non federal grant reporting and reconciliation processes, ensuring grant expenditures, financial records, and submitted reports are accurate and complete Audits: Prepares and reviews audit support schedules and serves as a primary contact between UMMA Staff and auditors for annual financial and HRSA compliance audits Payroll: Provides oversight and review of payroll process to ensure payroll is processed timely and labor laws are maintained Reviews bi-weekly payroll with Accounting Manager Budgeting & Forecasting: Supports the CFO in annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis Provides management and board-level…
