Where the work happens
We managed six ACTION TEAMS, with over 30 member organizations participating in monthly meetings toward play equity. Our action teams are the Youth Equity Action Team, Swim Equity Action Team, Outdoor Recreation Action Team, Advocacy Action Team, Grassroots Soccer Equity Action Team, and Shared Learning Action Team.
We developed a SPORTS POLICY TRACKER in partnership with universities and researchers to be used nationally as a reference for understanding policies related to youth sports.
We launched a COACH TRAINING program to do community engagement in partnership with the City of Burien to identify barriers to women in coaching, led a focus group of women, and had a Womens Coach Symposium that provided certified coach training.
