Forest Watch Program
Bark works with our volunteers and the general public to inform policymaking at the US Forest Service. In 2020 we worked to engage the public on issues of wildfire ecology and management and destructive, industrial forest practices such as roadbuilding and commercial logging.

Restore Mt. Hood Program
In 2020, Bark proactively advocated for updates to the Mt. Hood Forest Management Plan through online workshops on forest management and climate change. Staff and volunteers managed a website, monthly meetings, community presentations, and actions directed at Forest Service leadership.

Outreach and Education Program
Bark provides education to the public about forest law, policy, and ecology at free events that are held online, approximately 100 hours of volunteer time supported these activities. Our street outreach team make phone calls to inform the public about what is happening in Mt. Hood National Forest.
