Indigo rescue operates programs to discourage the surrender of companion animals to shelters, and increase the likelihood of permanent placement. Efforts include partnering with county animal shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by taking animals who do not meet shelter criteria for adoption and are otherwise facing euthanasia.
