Since its inception, the foundation has taken an active role to expand and enhance the seahawks' ability to raise and distribute funds for charitable purposes in the pacific northwest. The foundation makes grants and contributions to public charities that serve the needs of children in the community.

The foundation supports a variety of charitable organizations and causes through its charitable giving and programs. This year the foundation funded the first ever seahawks community awards recognizing individuals in the community for their efforts, launched the inaugural seahawks community scholarship and made donations to urban league.
