HEALTH CARE. WCAN our project, Health Care is a Human Right WA, had a legislative victory with the passage of SB 5546. The bill had an immediate impact in our communities by lowering the 100 per month copay for insulin to 35 for patients in private state-regulated plans.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. In 2022 WCAN gathered 904 signatures for local/city initiatives. 397 signatures were gathered for House Our Neighbors to establish a social housing developer and social housing in Seattle and 507 signatures were gathered to raise the minimum wage in Tukwila.

PACIFIC COUNTY VOICES UNITING is a fiscally sponsored project of Washington CAN. PCVU was started to ensure that people of color, LGBTQ people, people with disabilities and other groups who are often left behind can access the services they need and have their voices heard.
