The Hamilton County Schools Foundation (HCSF) was formed to cultivate philanthropy in support of the strategic initiatives of Hamilton County Schools, the public school district in Hamilton County, Tennessee. The mission of HCSF is to support educational opportunities and excellence for ALL students through the effective mobilization of resources, relationships, and innovation. Activity areas align with the strategic focus areas of Hamilton County Schools and include Accelerating Student Achievement, Innovation, Great Teachers and Leaders, and Engaged Community.

Accelerating Student Achievement

HCS Literacy Officer - Funding to create the position of Literacy Officer at Hamilton County Schools. Literacy work will support the district's strategic plan, including the focus performance target to have at least 50% of all third grade students scoring proficient or advanced as measured by the TN Ready ELA assessment.
