Where the work happens
Young Texans Civic Engagement
Este Poder focuses on individuals aged 17-35 by partnering with East Texas high schools to equip young people, including college students, with civic engagement tools to instill lifelong active participation. Additionally, Este Poder student fellows continuously organize in the region's largest colleges to promote this engagement.
Engaging East Texas
We are committed to identifying and addressing challenges faced by our community by meeting with them where they are. Our outreach spans diverse platforms?from local festivals and churches to restaurants and online spaces.
Advocacy
We focus on local government through legislative informational and educational needs. We want to encourage our community's presence in city council meetings and school board meetings.
