Grant 1.0 was created to assist minor league players with expenses incurred as their season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It helped approximately 700 players between may and october 2020.

Grant 2.0 was the first iteration of the mlbpa grant program. This was an extension of grant 1 funded by the mlbpa. It helped approximately 500 players between december 2020 and march 2021.

The cardinals grant program was to assist cardinals minor league players in expenses incurred as their season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It helped 177 minor league players with the ST. Louis cardinals between march and may 2020.
