Where the work happens
Therapy/Counselling
Encompass adoptees provides THERAPY/COUNSELLING services for individuals and families affected by adoption, foster care, and kinship care, and have a mental healtjh diagnosis. In 2024, we added a second therapist to work part-time serving clients with a mental health diagnosis. Play, art, and sand tray are frequent components of therapy.
Adoptive Parent Programs
Includes 2 monthly support and education groups for parents, as well as a retreat or picnic each year. This program supports an average of 12 families per month.
Education Series
This program includes a series of educational adoption related videos and presentations. These 6 presentations were online, open to the public, and had attendees from various states. The 6 videos were created for kinnect to share with adoptive and kinship families through their specific online portal for registered families.
