Youth education number of students served in erc youth programs: 1050 in person, estimated 150 remotely. Number of erc-led education programs: 75. Building on over a decade of partnerships with the local school district and local naturalists, the erc youth education programs had a very successful year of expanding reach and impact.

Pick up for the planet (pup) amount of dog waste picked up through pup: 10,000 pounds. For over 10 years, the erc has collaborated with the us forest service, bureau of land management (BLM) and other user groups to reduce the negative environmental, health, and aesthetic impacts of unattended dog waste on local trails.

Pesticide Action Pesticide Action

Weed management is an ongoing issue in the wood river valley. After several wet years, knapweed was particularly prevalent this year. As new alternative methods are introduced, the erc will be researching best practices and helping our community understand the importance of managing weeds without the overuse of pesticides and herbicides.
