Our mission is to feed brazoria county's hungry through food distribution, education, collaboration, and advocacy. Brazosport Cares continues to lead the fight against hunger in brazoria county by operating a community-supported food pantry, weekend backpack program and school food pantry for local students, home delivery program for home-bound seniors, and education initiatives.

Along with food assistance, the pantry provides referrals to other social service agencies to help address the physical, emotional and social needs of residents. The pantry provided 2,060,316 meals and assisted 15,084 unique individuals facing hunger and food insecurity.

The healthy options program for the elderly (hope) provides monthly supplemental food tailored to improve the health and nutrition of low-income homebound seniors. Groceries delivered by volunteers include dairy, grains, protein, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned goods, and personal care items.
