The haven provides a shelter and finds adoptive homes for abused, neglected, and homeless animals treating them with love, respect and medical care. Through education and volunteer programs, we promote community awareness of pet overpopulation and responsibility. 2021, the haven welcomed 345 homeless cats and dogs who were neglected or abused by irresponsible pet owners and cared for 239 city of fairhope stray cats and dogs. Total combined animals cared for equaled 584. 70% of the animals admitted were transferred from high intake animal control shelters in baldwin county.
