Our mission is to provide resources to address the unmet housing and service needs of homeless individuals in Ventura County CA. Our primary focus is aiding women and children as they are the most vulnerable. Our primary program services include rental and utility assistance childcare meals transportation assistance and childrens activities. Our goal is to provide meaningful support not just band-aids to help the families on a path of sustained independence.

Transportation Support

The key to employment and independence for homeless individuals is safe and reliable transportation. Our program funds transportation for homeless residents living at RAIN Transitional Living Center in Ventura County CA as well as RAIN alumni in need of assistance.

Children Support Services

We funded 747 hours $13,867 of childcare services and $1,673 of pre-school fees so parents could get to work. We funded activities for the homeless children and their parents totaling $6,213 for attendance to the VC Fair with food and rides the Pumpkin Patch with food and rides 4th of July firework display entry fees and dinner outdoor…

Housing Support Services

We funded $18,573 of rent and utility assistance to house 9 families including 16 children. We also paid $3,199 for basic furnishings such as beds linens dressers and kitchen tables etc. for 3 families. One of the greatest obstacles for a homeless family seeking housing is securing a move-in deposit.
