In 2020, VSH collaborated with the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) to help prevent evictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rent and Mortgage Relief Program (RMRP) allowed VSH to work directly with landlords throughout the state to disburse over $2 million dollars in rental assistance relief for 831…
VSH's Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program provides homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing assistance to veteran households in the Charlottesville, Central Virginia, and Balance of State regions in Virginia.
VSH "scattered site" programs provide rental assistance and housing stabilization supportive services for formerly chronically homeless individuals who reside with third-party landlords in our communities. Richmond Housing First is VSH's largest scattered-site PSH program and in 2020, served 123 households.
