The lid center is under a multi-year contract to assist prince georges county, MD with stormwater management goals. This includes partnering and hiring other ngos, contractors and consultants based in PG county to participate in projects and gain capacity on lid approaches.

Through this contract, the lid center is developing programmatic approaches and supporting research for the first stormwater public and private partnership in the nation. The objective of the program is to develop a national model on the approach.

The lid center has participated in PGS countys treating and teaching program since 2016. This program is a collaborative effort between the anacostia watershed society, PG county, the chesapeake bay trust, the neighborhood design center, and other local nonprofits.
