The taney hills library makes available to the residents of the community over 54,000 books, movies, audiobooks and periodicals. Visits to the library exceeded 42,000 last year with approximately 63,000 books and tapes being checked out. The library also has 10 computers which are available to patrons at a small fee of a dollar per hour.

The largest program service provided by the librarby is the thrift shop. TH thrift shop is completely staffed by all volunteers who receive donations of all types of wearing apparel. The items of clothing are cleaned and made ready for resale to the general public at a very modest price, which is greatly appreciated by the residents.

The taney hills library provides educational and research facilities that are comfortable and safe. Students of all ages have the availability of computers and reference books for their research projects. The library also hosts several reading programs and educational classes throughout the year which include CPR and first aid.
