We accomplish our mission through prevention education services, advocacy from a policy level, as well as advocating for youth and families, and community outreach efforts. The pandemic posed many challenges, yet we were able to pursue our mission in meaningful ways.
Community outreach was a significant part of our work as our nation embarked upon unprecedented times with COVID-19. We shifted from building awareness to being of service to the needs of families, students, and educators who were challenged by the pandemic.
Align with kind (awk) is our youth empowerment program that was officially kicked off in 2019 and significantly expanded in 2020. Align with kind is now in 9 schools between two school districts, serving 6 communities; montrose county school district serves approximately 1500 high school students, and delta county school district serves…
