Education and Outreach

Our community journal project connected scientific illustration and marine science mentors with elementary, middle, and high school classes to provide lessons on marine ecology, field sketching, and nature journaling.

Restoration of the Western Flyer

The western flyer spent the year at snow and company in ballard, washington, where we made significant progress on the installation of the mechanical components of the vessel, including the hybrid electric-diesel propulsion system, main driveline, generator, and steering systems.
