Housing Initiatives. Genesis Garden provides an continuum of services to assist individuals and families who are unstably housed or without housing. During the fiscal year, 74 individuals in 27 households received eviction prevention assistance, 21 individuals in 12 households were successfully diverted to housing options other than…

Food Initiatives.Genesis Garden serves as fiscal sponsor for Loaves & Fishes, Inc., an ecumenical organization with a pending application for 501(c)(3). Loaves & Fishes distributes food vouchers to McDonough County households for food purchases at area grocery stores. Loaves & Fishes serves an average of 430 households per month.
