The secretary of education for the state of jalisco suspended in-person classes on march 17TH. The careyes foundation followed suit, putting nearly all of our regular programming on hold so we could focus on combating misinformation about COVID-19, share prevention methods, and create activities and resources for kids and families to…

The careyes foundation has produced five books in a series of custom-made english-spanish textbooks, tailored specifically to the educational needs of elementary school children in rural areas.

Through a partnership with fundacion beckmann, the careyes foundation opened a music school in january of 2018. This program provides local children and adults with more consistent exposure to arts programming. The school offers weekly choral classes for children and adults taught by a professional instructor.
