Concussion awareness kits are provided to athletes and their families to educate them on the signs, symptoms, dangers, and prevention of traumatic brain injuries. There were no kits distributed in 2021 due to the covid pandemic.

Scholarships are available for students of frostburg state university with a grade point average of 3.4 or higher who exemplify leadership qualities and provide 40 hours of community service to increase awareness of concussions and traumatic brain injuries in sports. The scholarship awarded in 2021 was a one year full tuition award.
