Sustainable surf started the seatrees program as part of its mission to reverse climate change and restore blue carbon coastal ecosystems by directly supporting local communities and scientists. All-time at the end of 2024 over 4.7 million seatrees combined have been restored, planted and conserved through the work of the program.

Sustainable surf established the ecoboard project as the first independent 3RD party consumer-facing "eco-label" for surfboards. In 2024 the program continued to focus on building new partnerships with boardshapers, who specifically use innovative and sustainable manufacturing materials and approaches.
