Skillup

SkillUp is a program that provides Food Stamp and TANF recipients opportunities to gain skills, training or experience that will improve their ability to attain employment and decrease their dependency on public assistance programs. The intention of the program is rapid attachment to work that leads to self-sufficiency for families.

Energy Fund

Funds provided through the Emergency Weatherization Support fund were provided by Missouri's investor-owned utilities. These entities are governed through the Missouri Public Service Commission who ultimately approves rates, cost sharing, and contributions required to support vulnerable Missourians.

Poverty Simulations

Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) promotes a greater understanding of poverty. During the simulation, participants role-play the lives low-income families from single parents trying to care for their children to senior citizens trying to maintain their self-sufficiency on Social Security.
