Celebrates danish roots and american dreams through it curatorial activities. The curatorial department maintains a collection of approximately 38,000 artifacts and accepted over 150 new pieces during this past year. Over 46,000 artifacts and archival records are made available through "view our collection" on the museums website.

These activities bring the museum's mission to its national audience and membership. Outreach to school groups and community members takes place at the museum's main building, the jens jensen prairie landscape park, bedstemor's house, and the genealogy & education center located on main street.
