The vision of the Beloit Historical Society is to make history a focal point of community pride and to serve as a constant reminder to the community of its great and diverse heritage. This is accomplished by collecting and sharing historic records and objects through a variety of methods including exhibitions, programming, the bhs website and newsletter.

Program services include the operation and restoration of the hanchett-bartlett homestead and museum, providing exhibits of local historical value and programs for the public regarding local historical events, maintaining archives, and providing historical preservation consultation. Our major program of service is public education.
