During Fiscal Year Ended 7/1/2022, HMEMSA achieved progress by working with Moroccan NGOs to recognize Phenylketonuria (PKU) as a metabolic disease. Specifically, HMEMSA coordinated with government officials to ensure diagnostic equipment and medical expenses of those afflicted with this rare disease would be covered.
