Arctic Ice project's mission is to reduce the melting of polar and glacial Ice, to reduce the far-reaching consequences that drastically worsen the impacts of global warming. Arctic Ice project's goal is to identify and deploy a technology that will use environmentally benign materials to create artificial, multi-year Ice to once again be able to effectively reflect energy from the summertime polar sun.

The arctic ice progect performed laboratory and field testing in california, minnesota, and barrow, alaska. The key goal is to implement a surface-modification approach to rebuild a natural state of ice in the arctic with minimal intervention.
