Keta legacy Foundation is dedicated to passing the best possible environmental legacy to ensuing generations. The Foundation, working through our volunteer board, serves those who are committed to the responsible stewardship and active enjoyment of the beauty and diversity of our natural resources. The Foundation promotes the long view of stewardship by building and maintaining strong relationships with both donors and grantees based on mutual trust and openness.

Community Grants

Keta legacy foundation funds conservation education efforts of partner organizations that share our mission and vision. We offer several competitive grants over the year. The foundation made grants to partner organizations to inspire and educate youth and adults about our region and its ecology.

Rhododendron Preserve

The mature forests and salmon-bearing streams within this unique preserve provide a glimpse of natural habitats with minimal human impact. The preserve is comprised of 466 acres of land managed for conservation and low-impact visitor access. The mature conifer forests and streams are home to bear, bobcat and several species of salmon.

Education

The foundation offers several volunteer run education opportunities both on site at the preserve and off site at other locations. In 2025 these education opportunities included both passive and active events at the preserve as well as off site events.
