The permanent supportive housing program moves men and women experiencing homelessness off the streets and out of shelters into their own homes. Currently, more than 120 previously homeless individuals now live independently and hold their own leases in apartments throughout hartford.

The emergency shelter is year-round and open 24/7, serving men experiencing homelessness in the greater hartford area. It provides temporary housing and shelter, hot and nutritious meals, and linkages to community-based services such as mental health and substance abuse treatment, education and employment and health care.

Immacare houses additional formerly homeless persons in casa de francisco, a 50-UNIT apartment complex in which half of the apartments are designated for formerly chronically homeless individuals and half are open to individuals with incomes below 50 percent of the area's median income.
