Ceremonies and Awards

White coat ceremonies at more than 300 schools and numerous additional awards aimed at reinforcing humanism in healthcare so that kind, safe, trustworthy care becomes part of clinicians' practice and is reflected in the care delivered to patients.

The gold foundation develops, pilots, and supports programs designed to teach the tools and habits of humanism to physicans, nurses, and medical and nursing students. Research efforts explore and spotlight issues surrounding humanism in healthcare and how it is taught, conveyed, and learned.
