In 2020 the organization created the lubbock cultural arts foundation. The foundation is operated as a dba of lubbock experience. The foundation obtained, for the city of lubbock, the designation of texas music friendly city. The foundation will cultivate, connect and champion the arts community in lubbock, texas.

In 2019 the organization entered into a memorandum of understanding with the city of lubbock central business district tax increment financing (tif) reinvestment zone to be in charge of building the downtown lubbock tornado memorial. The construciton of the memorial continued through 2020.
