Conservation and Recreation Planning

With support from the santa fe fat tire society, core crew and other enthusiasts of the galisteo basin preserve, commonweal developed three miles of new hiking, cycling and equestrian trails for public use.

Conservation Transactions

On june 23,2022, commonweal conservancy conveyed a 1,383-ACRE conservation easement to the santa fe conservation trust to ensure the property's permanent protection as open space, trail use and wildlife habitat.

Partnered with more than a half-dozen nonprofit land conservation and community development organizations and public agencies to advance a plan for a network of regional trails throughout santa fe county, new mexico.
