Classroom Kit Provision

CIBL provides STEM curriculum units filled with hands-on materials that promote creativity, collaboration and criticial thinking. Each unit serves one teacher and up to 32 students (K-5) or 125 students (6-8) for a 9-week instruction period.

Consulting & Professional Development

CIBL offers professional development to its clients at no charge as part of its mission. During FY 2019-20, CIBL provided 90 participant-days of charitable consulting and professional development. All of these were full-day sessions for K-8 classroom teachers on specific science kits with a 9-week kit use.

Curriculum Development

CIBL staff are engaged in developing curriculum to meet the NC Essential Science Standards. During FY20 CIBL launched a new product in response to COVID. CIBL developed the first 6 Student Activity Packs (SAP) titles. This product was designed to be used by students learning in any type of learning model- virtual, in-person, or hybrid.
