Develop and deliver valued program choices and services in partnership with America's public television community. Since 1961, American Public Television has been a leading distributor of high-quality programming to the nation's public television stations. With approximately 4,000 hours of available programming, APT identifies innovative programs and creative distribution techniques for producers. In more than five decades, we have established a tradition of providing public television stations with the choices that enable them to strengthen and customize their schedules.

Domestic distribution of educational public television programming in the United States. On an annual basis, APT's three core programming services collectively provide nearly 4,000 hours of content to help the 350+ independent public television stations across the United States customize and strengthen their broadcast schedules.

Distribute English language educational programming to platforms outside of U.S. public media. In 1999, APT introduced APT Worldwide, its licensing division responsible for providing programming to the global marketplace.
