Richard Priestley Lifton, MD, PhD, is the 11th President of The Rockefeller University since September 2016. A biochemist and cardiologist, he previously held the Sterling Professorship of Genetics at Yale University and directed the Yale Center for Human Genetics and Genomics.
His research pioneered the use of genetics and genomics to understand cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, hypertension, and other human conditions. 2014 Breakthrough Prize winner.
