John C. Bravman is the 17th president of Bucknell University, a position he has held since July 1, 2010.
A materials scientist and engineer by training, Bravman spent 35 years at Stanford University before joining Bucknell, where he held leadership roles including Freeman-Thornton Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Dean of the Freshman and Sophomore College. At Bucknell, he established the Campus Climate Task Force and led a major $500 million+ fundraising campaign (2012-2017).
He also chairs the board of directors at Geisinger Health System.
