Background CLEAR Global is a nonprofit organization helping people get vital information and be heard, whatever language they speak. As part of this mission, CLEAR Global maintains the Language Use Data Platform (LUDP), a data platform that aggregates and standardizes language and geographic data to support humanitarian and language-access initiatives globally. As LUDP expands into additional countries and languages, CLEAR Global is piloting and refining workflows for identifying, processing, validating, and publishing multilingual datasets. This internship will support the testing and documentation of these operational processes to help ensure they are scalable, accurate, and sustainable.

Objectives The objective of this internship is to support a pilot implementation of the “Adding a Country” workflow for LUDP. The intern will help test and document the feasibility, clarity, and timing of the process by working through real country-level language datasets and supporting data preparation, validation, and reporting activities. The role The MIIS Intern will support the LUDP Team in piloting workflows related to language dataset acquisition, processing, quality assurance, and publication.

Working closely with CLEAR Global staff, the intern will contribute to testing operational procedures, documenting findings, identifying gaps or inefficiencies, and helping improve internal guidance and processes for future country expansion efforts.
