Education
Required - High School diploma or equivalent Work Experience Required: 1 year Security, law enforcement, or military. Previous experience or is presently, an armed police officer with a Louisiana or Federal Law. Enforcement Agency (reserve status is acceptable) and has had arrest power and been assigned in an active law enforcement capacity. Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Completion of Certified Police Officer of Standard Training Policy Academy (state, federal, or military).
Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Certification or Military Police equivalent Valid Louisiana driver’s license and clean DMV report Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Certification to be obtained within 90 days of promotion/hire Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of the FTO Program within the first 60 days of employment Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals.
