Cleveland Clinic Main Campus’s Same Day Surgery Unit handles less complicated surgeries that require an overnight hospital stay. A high percentage of these patients have their surgery and go home the same day. As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

A caregiver in this position works days from 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. with weekend and holiday requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide direct nursing care.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions. Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
