Schedule: 4 days per week; 11am - 9pm or 12pm - 10pm Since 1983, Hospice of Marion County has been honored to serve families across Ocala and Marion County with compassionate, expert end-of-life care. As part of Empath Health, we help neighbors with advanced illness live as comfortably and meaningfully as possible, while supporting their families and caregivers with respect, guidance, and dignity.
What you'll Do The Admissions RN is a first responder who assesses eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care while advocating for optimal access to the right care at the right time in any care setting. This RN exhibits passion for the services we offer while engaging in mission support, and portrays excellence in customer service and relationship-building internally and externally. Assumes responsibility for accurate level of care and determination of financial classification for newly admitted patients. Works directly with community referral sources to educate regarding Empath Health programs and services.

What You'll Need Hospice experience strongly preferred Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensure: Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse Valid Florida State Driver’s License For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion. Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance, a copy of which will be placed in the employee’s HR file.
