Salina Regional Health Center TELEMETRY TECHNICIAN POSITION SUMMARYUnder the direction and supervision of the professional nurse in charge of the ICU, the telemetry technician is responsible for the continuous monitoring of heart rhythms and electrical activity of the heart, recognizing abnormal rhythms, interpretation of electrical activity and rhythms and informing the ICU nurse/primary nurse regarding any significant changes. They communicate with other departments regarding rhythm changes and lead or battery issues. They are also responsible for entering telemetry statistics.
