Values Accountability Caring Growth & Learning Respect Adaptability Fun Position Description Values The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with regulations, and strong internal controls.

This role manages accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination while providing strategic financial guidance to leadership.

Role and Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP (or other applicable standards) Analyze financial results and provide insights to support decision-making Maintain general ledger integrity and reconcile accounts Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes Monitor organizational performance against budget and provide variance analysis Partner with department leaders on financial planning Analyze financial data to assess organizational performance and identify trends.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Collaborate with leadership to develop financial strategies that align with organizational goals. Provide financial insights to support decision-making and strategic initiatives. Compliance & Internal Controls Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and financial policies Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings Ensure adherence to nonprofit accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation for audits and support the implementation of audit recommendations, including sitting in on desk reviews.
