Compensation
Starting Salary for this position is determined by the HOLLA School Salary Schedule. This is a 0.5 FTE, exempt position. Teachers receive weekly professional development that can be counted towards licensure requirements for TSPC. HOLLA School teachers will prepare lessons that are robust and based on HOLLA School’s identified instructional frameworks such as Gholdy Muhammad’s “Cultivating Genius” and the empirical evidence and research of Zaretta Hammond, “Culturally Responsive Teaching & The Brain”. The Art Teacher facilitates a learning environment that honors the diverse cultural backgrounds, traditions, and artistic identities of all scholars. This role is responsible for delivering an art curriculum that integrates culturally specific art that enhances scholars’ understanding of and interaction with the classroom curriculum.
The teacher will prioritize artistic expression, community storytelling, and collaborative projects.
