Server

Servers at the Whitewater Center are responsible for providing friendly and responsive service in a high-volume restaurant environment. The Server is an on-site, part-time, hourly position who reports directly to the Front of House managers.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality dining experiences- accurately take orders, submit orders to kitchen, deliver items to guests, refill glasses, etc. Stay open and attentive to the needs of the guest. Handle cash transactions and operate a restaurant point-of-sale system. Stay current and be able to inform guests of menu options, sides, and specials. Maintain a clean dining environment- pre-bus and bus tables, sweep floors, etc. as needed. Perform assigned side work tasks and efficiently make use of downtime. Maintain accurate knowledge of operating hours, activities, and products offered outside of Food and Beverage department. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, and inform customers about food preparation details. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during Whitewater events as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

ServSafe alcohol certification or equivalent. 1-2 years serving in a high volume, casual dining atmosphere. Physical Demands Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space. Must be able to bend, lean, stand, and kneel on a regular basis and for sustained periods of time. Must be able to lift and move at least 50 pounds. Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time and in all weather and environmental conditions. Must be able to work in shared spaces with other employees and customers. All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.
