Description **Please read the ENTIRE job posting before applying** This role operates administratively in a Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Setting , defined as “medical, social, and supportive services for Iowans with functional, cognitive, and other physical or mental health needs” (Iowa Health & Human Services). Rather than institutionalizing individuals who have these physical and mental health needs, HCBS settings provide these individuals with the opportunity to live and receive services in a way honoring to them and their abilities. HCBS Supervisors provide leadership to a team who is laser-focused on providing the best care possible.

Within the team, you’ll guide a team into fulfilling the mission of empowering people to reach individual achievement across the spectrum of life. If you’re passionate about empowering people to reach their goals and help them strive for more, we want you to join our team. As a core team member, you’ll be responsible for keeping updated records, making decisions in compliance with rules and regulations from governing bodies, and implementing services that emphasized individual choice and decision making. Your consistent leadership will provide your team with the trusted foundation they need to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.

What Winning Looks Like: While it’s not a competition, we do recognize that each person wants to ‘win’ at life; and you’re a central part of someone else’s wins – as well as your own! In this role, you’ll be responsible to: Team Leadership & Development: Collaborate with recruitment and training teams to hire, onboard, and develop staff; supervise Direct Support Professionals; schedule coverage based on service needs; and provide ongoing coaching, support, and weekly site oversight.

Team Culture & On-Call Responsibility: Foster a positive, engaged team culture through active involvement, monthly team meetings, staff follow-up, and coaching, while participating in on-call rotation and providing short-notice coverage when needed. Operational & Resource Management: Oversee key resources including vehicle scheduling, individual budgets, representative payee processes, medication check-ins, and appointment coordination, while supporting community partnerships and service enhancement efforts.

Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies while maintaining accurate, timely, and complete documentation, including incident reports, investigations, and service records. Person-Centered Advocacy: Advocate for individuals served by promoting dignity, independence, and choice, ensuring services are respectful, empowering, and aligned with each person’s goals and desired outcomes. Know We’re For You: We know finding the right opportunity can be tricky – that’s why Imagine is focused on making sure your time is well spent. We take pride in the benefits we offer our employees.
